The Savoy Wedding Photographer
I am excited for every wedding I get to document and I was very much looking forward to the wedding of Michaela and Darren. It was my last wedding of the year and a privilege to be the Savoy wedding photographer for the day, what an incredible location! The Savoy is a beautiful, classy and elegant hotel in the heart of London and it looked fantastic in the wintery sunlight. This was an intimate wedding with around 24 guests. Everyone, apart from a couple of guests, had travelled from Wales to spend a couple of days at this beautiful London Hotel.
I started documenting the wedding just before the ceremony, in time to capture a few images of the guests arriving and Michaela and her dad walking down to the ceremony suite. Michaela looked amazing and Darren looked great in his new suit too. Rumours say that it took Darren about 6 times the amount of time to choose his suit than it took Michaela to choose her dress but everyone was discreet about it and only got mentioned a few times during speeches 🙂
Intimate weddings are beautiful and it was so nice to see two families and friend coming together to witness the marriage of their children and friends. After the ceremony, a few speeches took place followed by canapés and drinks before sitting down for a gorgeous wedding breakfast. It was then time for some dancing. I was able to capture a few portraits of the bride and groom throughout the day and we were lucky to get a few portraits outside before it got dark.
I really enjoyed being the Savoy wedding photographer on their wedding day and below is a short selection of my favourite images of their wedding day, I hope that you like them! I would love to hear from you below in my comments, please feel free to leave or the bride and groom a message.
