As many of us get ready to celebrate Christmas and the New Year, it is a good time to take stock and look back at the year just gone. I have been very fortunate to work with lovely couples and very proud to document their weddings in London and surrounding counties. This year saw me documenting 40 weddings, shooting around 10 pre-wedding sessions and photographing a few other events. I also worked on a few commercial shoots and did some street photography.
I am calling this blog post a 2014 wedding photography retrospective as I look back at images that had a strong impact for me. Some may not be technically the best images that I have taken, but they are images that mean something to me. Whether it was a moment I remember well or whether I was trying to do something compositionally different, these moments stand out for me.
I take this time of reflection on 2014, to thank all the couples who commissioned me for their wedding, it really was a delight to work with all of you. Thank you also to all my photographer friends with whom it is always great to catch up and chat but who also have provided support and advice and with whom it is great to exchange ideas and brainstorm.
