The Ham Yard and The Old Westminster Library Wedding Photographer
The wedding of R and J was going to be special one! It was set over two days and there was a lot going on. It was a fairly small wedding reserved to close family and friends! I was looking forward to being The Ham Yard and The Old Westminster Library Wedding Photographer for them and capturing some lovely images for them to treasure.
A fun day at The Ham Yard Hotel
The civil ceremony took place at the Ham Yard Hotel, a fab venue in London. It is a great place simply to stop by and have a drink or lunch. If you book it for your wedding, you can also have access to different areas including the bowling alley! The wedding ceremony was fairly short with some lovely readings. It was followed by drinks and a bowling game. The guests went then directly to the Chutney Mary restaurant for their evening meal. I took a few portraits of them during that time. It was really fun and great to find different spots for photos around the Hotel.
A Reception at The Old Westminster Library
The second day took place at the Old Westminster Library. As i arrived, we had a short walk around to capture a few portraits of R and J. Guests then arrived for the drinks reception. They were entertained by a magician who impressed everyone! He was very fast and a nice chap! Guests were then invited for a lovely meal. There were some games prepared by the bride and groom in order to unlock a jar of sweets on each table. The meal was followed by some short speeches before I bade farewell to the guests.
It was a really beautiful wedding and slightly unusual as the events were split over two days.  Everyone looked at for me and was very friendly and as such it made it a joy to document.
