Bassmead Manor Barns is a a beautiful secluded wedding venue

I was looking forward to being the Bassmead Manor Barns wedding photographer for the wedding of Jade and Steve. I have never worked at this venue before. I was very excited to capture the wedding day of a truly beautiful couple at such a lovely venue. The bride and groom had attended a previous wedding that I documented. It was great to see them again and seeing some other familiar faces. It is always nice to work with bride and grooms that ave seen your previous work and been recommended by a previous couple.

The day started 10 minutes away where I documented Jade getting ready with her friends and family. We then headed to the venue for the wedding breakfast. The order of the day was slightly different than most weddings.  Their celebrations started with a meal and speeches before the wedding ceremony. I quite enjoyed capturing a day that had a different format. The ceremony was beautiful and was done by the groom’s uncle and many friends took part in readings and playing music. It was a ceremony that had been carefully prepared and was meaningful to all present. The day was mostly dry and sunny with a few patches of rain.

A relaxed afternoon in a glorious setting

After a few quick family photos, the bride and groom spent some time chatting to their friends and family. There was an air of calmness throughout the day, everyone was comfortable and this was great for me too, as I was always to get in close and get some images that I am very happy with. I just enjoy capturing life, capturing people having a great time. People being nice to each other and showing emotions. After this, it was time for the first dance and I left shortly after this.

It was truly a fun day for me. I got to witness a different format for a wedding day and meet two very relaxed and charismatic people.
