Sikh Wedding Photographer – Cheltenham Racecourse Photography – Harp and Gurj
I have been blessed with capturing weddings in different counties, of different religions, some incredibly small and intimate and some large events. I was one of three photographers covering the main wedding day for Gurj and Harp and the images below are my favorites from my own coverage of the day.
It was a very long day (approx. 16 hours coverage) and full of emotions. My day started at 06 in the morning at the groom’s house before going to the Gurdwara in Swindon for the main ceremony. We then proceeded to Cheltenham Racecourse where the reception took place, a lovely venue for their 800 guests!
Lots of dancing were on the agenda and I found myself moving to the sound of the music to capture some of the shots below! It was really fun. It was then to the bride’s house for the Doli which in turn threw a different set of emotions. As a wedding photographer, I really enjoy this kind of days, where you are able to witness and capture a variety of emotions and traditions. Sikh and Asian weddings suit reportage wedding photography and I look forward to capturing more events like this next year. if you re looking for a Sikh Wedding photographer to document your day, please get in touch to discuss further.
