These look unreal mate! We are both sooo glad we chose you for our wedding, you are VERY good at what you do! – Prashan
I knew that the wedding of Nisha and Prashan was going to be lovely. They had a catholic wedding in India a couple of weeks prior and they were having a Hindu wedding and civil ceremony in the UK. Like many Hindu weddings, it was a very busy day with lots of things and ceremonies going on… Just the way I like it!
The day started at a Hotel nearby for some bridal preparation shots, before heading to the venue, the Three Rivers Golf Club where the remainder of the ceremonies and events took place. As you can expect, the day was full of laughter, fun, sounds (with the bonus of a Dohl player)! And the day also included a big friendly fight for the groom’s shoes!
A Hindu ceremony goes through many rituals, a few of which are illustrated below. After the main ceremony, the guests were invited outside for the civil ceremony that took place outdoors. It was a beautiful, sunny day and a great setting for the ceremony. We came back in after that for some games, before the traditional leaving of the couple.
The evening party was a black tie affair with a champagne reception before going inside for speeches and some food. After that it was time for some dancing!
Hindu weddings are long days (13 hours shooting for this one) but they are a lot of fun and there is so much going on that it is a joy to photograph and document them. Nisha and Prashan are two lovely and friendly people and they were a joy to work with. Their friends and family were also very welcoming and I genuinely had a great time!
Below are some of my favourite from the day, I hope that you like them! Please feel free to leave me and/or Nisha and Prashan a message at the end, it would be greatly appreciated!
