Sikh Wedding Photographer London – Jess & Suresh
The wedding of Jess and Suresh was always going to be a special one. I have known Suresh for a while and I was incredibly honoured to be asked to document their wedding. Suresh is a real gentleman and I got to know Jess a little during their pre-wedding shoot this summer at Chiswick House. Jess is very funny and great to be around and looked amazing on her wedding day.
The day started early with preparations at both Jess and Suresh’s houses before going to the Gurdwara in Southall (Shri Guru Ravidass Temple). On the day, Alex Wilson joined me to cover the groom preparations and shoot with me throughout the day – a great asset to have – many thanks for your help and great images!
I always enjoy the sound of Dohl Drums and a great entrance by the groom and Suresh and his family and friends did not disappoint, it was a great party when both families met in front of the Gurdwara before calming down for the religious ceremony. After the ceremony we travelled across London to East Winter Gardens in Canary Wharf where the reception and evening festivities took place. After a short portrait session and a change of clothes, a big entrance and some lovely speeches, it was time for some food and dancing. One of the real advantages of being a Sikh wedding photographer is that I am a fan of Bhangra music and when coupled with the amazing Dohl Drummers from Drumline entertainment, the dance floor really exploded and it felt really great to be there.
The evening concluded with the Doli ceremony that took place at the venue. As always it is a really emotional yet beautiful moment…
I truly had a great day in the company of Jess, Suresh, their families and friends. Below are my favourite images from the day, I hope that you like them. If you are looking for a Sikh wedding photographer, please get in touch! Thanks for reading and visiting!
