Hamswell House wedding photographer – Emily and Matt

It was my first time working as a Hamswell House wedding photographer.  Hamswell House is a truly beautiful venue and a gorgeous backdrop for Emily and Matt’s wedding day. Their day actually started in Bath, just down the road. Emily is Australian and was getting ready with her family 5-10 minutes away from the Bath Guildhall where the ceremony took place. Sometimes, stereotypes can be true and the Australians were incredibly chilled and relaxed making for a lovely morning!

I walked to the Guildhall with some family members to capture a few shots of the groom and the guests arriving at the ceremony. It was a beautiful and short ceremony. The registrar was very funny and made everyone smile. After the ceremony, the newly married couple and their guests, made their way to Hamswell House, a mere 15 minutes drive away. It is a beautiful house, tucked away on top of the hills. The weather was lovely on the day and guests enjoyed drinks outside before heading to the marquee for speeches and a meal. The day carried on being relaxed with people enjoying the venue and the gardens. I like photographing the throwing of the bouquet and the “boys” also threw their hats in the air which made for a lovely photo opportunity.

In the evening there was some dancing before I left the bride and groom to enjoy their night away with their guests. Emily and Matt were genuinely relaxed and a lovely couple to work for.  I really enjoyed meeting them and capturing memories for them to keep.
