Village Underground Wedding Photographer

A lovely ceremony at Kachette Studios in London

I was looking forward to being the Village Underground wedding photographer for Bethany and Ed. It was an all London wedding affair! I started getting a few shots of Bethany at her flat in the centre of London. Her house was full of people and there was a great buzz in the morning. Bethany was then driven in style to Kachette Studios. It is the venue that the bride and groom had chosen for their wedding ceremony. Kachette Studios is a great venue and different to most venues I had worked at. It suited perfectly Bethany and Ed’s needs and the ceremony was beautiful. After the ceremony, the wedding guests walked 10 minutes to the Village Underground. This is where the rest of the wedding took place.

A wedding reception to remember at the Village Underground

The Village underground is a fantastic, quirky and different wedding venue. Bethany, with her background in design, had done a great job in making the venue look stunning. It is a dark venue, but it created a nice warm feeling for the day. The drinks reception included plenty of time for guests to mingle. A magician was also present to everyone’s delight. We took some time to take some portraits and family photos using the lovely areas in and around the area. Some nice graffiti walls made a great backdrop for photos. The disused train carriages were also great to be included in portraits. After the drinks reception, there was a lovely wedding meal followed by speeches. They were all meaningful an well prepared and it was great to learn some stories about the bride and groom. After the speeches, followed the first dance and an evening full of dancing.

I really enjoy how every couple finds a way to stand their own personality at their wedding. Bethany was wearing a gold dress which looked stunning.T he wedding was also different because of the locations, which perhaps are not “traditional” wedding venues. It was great for me to discover new places! Both Bethany and Ed were great to work with. Their families looked after me on the day and I had great conversations during the meal.

Below are some of my favourite images from their wedding day, I really hope that you like them! Please feel free to leave me a comment below, I would love to hear from you.
