London Elopement Wedding Photography at Chelsea Town Hall

I was very much looking to the intimate wedding of Kathryn and Graham. I do not claim to be a London elopement wedding photography specialist but I have captured very intimate weddings in my time. However, they do not get much more intimate than this! Just the bride and groom, a friend who popped in for the ceremony and two Chelsea Pensioners that came to witness the wedding. It was a really short but lovely ceremony. Kathryn and Graham, who are from Wales, had decided to come to London and get married by themselves, with a view of having a party with friends and family later on in the year. It was clear for me to see how special this moment was to them. Whilst elopements may not be for everyone, it worked well for them. They just wanted to get married in a relaxed way and then go for a few portraits before going to a nice restaurant for a meal. It was a nice surprise that one of their friends from back home was coincidentally in London and could come to the ceremony. After the ceremony, there were a few confetti thrown before saying to goodbye to the lovely Chelsea Pensioners that came to witness the wedding.

Bride and groom portraits in London

I had suggested that perhaps it would be good idea to go for a few portraits while we were in London before them going for a meal. They accepted and we spent an hour or so walking around and taking a few portraits. It was a lovely walk and I like seeing the reaction of people, many wishing the new newly married couple well! I tried to keep the portraits as relaxed as possible but Kathryn and Graham were happy to try a few things so we experimented a little too. Kathryn and Graham are really a lovely couple and I feel very privileged to have been able to document their wedding and spend such a special time with them.

Below are some of my favourite images from their day, I hope that you like them! I would love to hear your thoughts, please leave me a comment at the end of this post. If you are looking for London elopement wedding photography (or any other kind or outside London) I would love to hear from you…. Thank you so much for reading and visiting my blog.
