The 8 club Moorgate wedding photographer – Thanh Mai & Bobby
I was very much looking forward to be the 8 Club Moorgate wedding photographer for Thanh Mai and Bobby’s special day! Coincidences are great and it was only when discussing nearer the wedding day that I found out that we had the town of Liege in common with Thanh Mai’s family, a town where they lived and where I also studied at for a few years.
The day started at Thanh Mai’s sisters house. I arrived early to join them for lunch (thank you!) and then getting a few shots of the bride-to-be getting ready. We then headed to the city where the 8 club Moorgate is based. From the outside the venue is not very grand, it is almost disguised and hidden, but it is beautiful once you go inside, with balcony’s with views over the City of London. It was a lovely yet simple ceremony followed by ample time for drinks reception and canapés before heading for a meal and speeches. Many of the guests were French and it was interesting to observe the different groups of people getting together. After the meal and speeches, I stayed to capture the dancing and some of the bands playing.
It was a beautiful wedding captured in the spirit of just having a great time with family and friends. It was relaxed, elegant and fun! Both Thanh Mai and Bobby and their families, were fun to hang out with and I really enjoyed documenting their wedding day.
Below are some of my favourite images of the day, I hope that you like them! Please feel free to leave me a comment below if you attended the wedding or enjoyed the pictures, I would love to hear from you. if you are looking for a The 8 club Moorgate wedding photographer (or a photographer for any other venue), please get in touch via my contact form, I would love to discuss further with you.
Dear Alexis,
I want to thank you for these brilliant pictures. I didn’t notice you the whole day and somehow magically you managed not only to capture all the important moments, but also all these other fleeting instants of laughs and smiles and emotions. I was worried about the very gloomy and grey London light we had on the day and the quite dark venue I had chosen, but the photos are as beautiful as I remember the day to be. The day went really fast and I can’t help looking at the pictures again and again, smiling as they remind me of all these great moments. Thanh Mai
