The day finally arrived for Alex and Nick’s wedding! I had spoken to them before hand and I knew it was going to be great day! They both came across during our chats as relaxed, happy and full of energy! The venue that they had chosen is truly spectacular. The entrance does not look amazing in fairness. Just like an office block. But as soon as you step out of the lift on the 6th floor everything changes. It is a gorgeous and elegant venue. Classy but friendly. Ideal for a black tie wedding as Nick and Alex had planned. When you step outside to the main courtyard, you are transported to a Spanish looking garden. All in the middle of London! Truly beautiful! The weather was overcast and there was some rain during the day. But this not spoil the mood in any way and it was a wedding to remember!
My day started at another elegant venue, the milestone Hotel. Alex was getting ready with the sister and nieces. Dad was there also for a short while too. It was a nice and tranquil mood as everyone was expertly being made up but the hair and make up artist. I only stayed for a little while before heading to the venue to capture a few images of the groom greeting guests and waiting for the bride to arrive. Guests were welcomed by a glass of champagne before the ceremony started. The ceremony itself was short and beautiful and it included readings from friends and family members. After a confetti shot, the guests were able to enjoy the roof gardens! Certainly a fantastic feature of this wedding venue. Everything looked beautiful and despite the rainy weather guests seem to enjoy themselves. I even met a guest from a previous wedding in Turkey who recognised me. It was nice seeing them again in a different setting!
The wedding breakfast and the party!
After the drinks reception, the wedding breakfast took place. It was outdoors, in the terrace. There were large parasols to keep the rain at bay. The meal was gorgeous and it was preceded by speeches and then followed by the cutting of a very big cake! We took some time before and after the meal to take a few portraits of the bride and groom too. it was then time to party! Alex and Nick certainly know how to party! it was a fun evening with a live band playing. Guests were dancing, some were doing shots or enjoying the photo booth! I stayed to cover a good part of the party before saying goodby to the bride and groom.
Below is a selection of my favourite images from their wedding day, I really hope that you like them! Alex and Nick are a lovely and friendly couple who made sure everyone was having a great time! They were totally relaxed and great to work with! Please feel free to leave me a comment at then end of this post and let me know your feedback on this wedding!
