Notley Abbey Wedding Photographer – Helen and Ollie
Notley Abbey evokes elegance and beauty in my mind, the gorgeous venue chosen by Helen and Ollie to celebrate their wedding day! With the addition of some lovely blue skies for most of the day (there were a few drops of rain during the reception) it was indeed a great place to celebrate their wedding day!
It was lovely to finally meet both Ollie and Helen on the day. We had exchanged e-mails during the booking process and we had a Skype call the week before the wedding itself. There was excitement in the room during the bridal preparations with Helen and the bridesmaids having their hair done and getting ready in the Abbot’s Chamber. The weather held and Ollie and Helen were able to have their reception outdoors as planned and a few drops of rain added (perfectly timed during the exchange of the rings), in my opinion, to the fun of the day rather than spoiling it.
The grounds at Notley Abbey are immaculate and after a short relaxed portrait session and a few more drinks and nibbles, guests were invited to join the newly married couple for a wedding breakfast. The service was smooth and perfectly run by Iain and his team who after speeches, turned the room around for the first dance and the evening fun!
