Weddings at Stoke Place – Cordie & Ben
The wedding of Cordie and Ben was the last wedding of the year for me, just a couple of days before New Year’s Eve. It was a nice cold brisk wintery morning and luckily the sun stayed out for most of the day which made Stoke Place, their wedding venue, even more glorious and elegant. Weddings at Stoke Place are beautiful and elegant yet tranquil and stress-free, which in my opinion is a great combination!
The day started at Stoke Place capturing a few shots of the boys before heading to Cordie’s house to capture the bride getting ready. It was then off to St. Luke’s Church in Maidenhead. It was a lovely wedding service that included piano music played by a family friend and a few readings from friends. After the service, the guests took the Route Master back to the wedding venue, where drinks and canapes awaited. I took the newly married couple for a few portraits in the low winter light before heading back into the warmth of the venue! Stoke Place has a variety of rooms and they were all really nicely decorated with the room for the wedding breakfast being candle lit. After a delicious three course dinner, the guests were entertained by the speeches from the father of the bride, the groom and the best man before the first dance.
I really enjoyed all the weddings I worked on in 2013 and this was a great one to finish the year with. Cordie and Ben are very considerate, likeable and funny and were great to deal with from our original contact and meeting. Ben looked very sharp and was very good at tying everyone’s ties in the morning and Cordie looked really beautiful in her wedding dress with a beaming smile that didn’t leave her face all day! I really enjoyed meeting you and capturing your day and I hope that you like the images.
