Sikh Wedding Photographer in Berkshire – Madjeski Stadium
As a wedding photographer, I feel very privileged by the variety of assignments and commissions I get to work on every year. I was honoured when asked to document Ravi’s pre-wedding party, that took place at Madjeski Stadium in Reading, home of the Royals.
This was not an ordinary pre-wedding party! It was reserved for family and friends only from the groom side. There were many guests, many locals but some having travelled from India that same day to attend the wedding scheduled a few days later. For some, it was their first time in the UK. It was a lovely affair with a few traditional ceremonies, lots of dancing, some lovely food that I enjoyed also and more importantly many moments of friendship and fun which I was lucky to capture.
I love documenting Sikh and Asian weddings in general. I always feel very welcome (and this was not exception) and I enjoy the Bhangra music to the sound of which I sometimes find myself moving to, in order to get in the action and capture some of these shots.
