we’ve just returned from honeymoon! The photos look absolutely fantastic, we are so pleased with them.
When I met Gemma and Alex, around this time last year, they had very clear ideas of what their wedding was going to look like. It was going to be a celebration, a party with a festival feel…. And they certainly achieved that! Their wedding was beautiful, relaxed and included that festival feel that they were looking for.
The day started at the venue where Gemma was getting ready with her bridesmaids. The mood was calm, the room filled with laughter and conversation. This summer had been incredibly hot and sunny, however this spell broke on their wedding day and there was some heavy rain at times, including during the ceremony. It is of course not ideal to have rain on your wedding day, however they carried on without letting this hamper their mood and it was a beautiful ceremony. Their wedding day was filled with music. This started with a 25 piece band from Cholsey playing during the drinks reception and two bands playing in the evening, one of them featuring the groom playing the bass guitar.
Eventually the rain went away (and came back for a short while) and the dark skies where replaced by beautiful blue skies and plenty of sunshine. It was a gorgeous afternoon, with beautiful food, speeches and also some games. The evening entertainment included live music and poetry reading, which was a first one for me but the readings were truly delightful. I stayed for a bit after the first dance to see the groom’s band play their first set. It was great to see the support from their friends, their enthusiasm and their musical ability. It was a great party as you can see from the images at the end!
I really enjoyed my day as a Worton Park wedding photographer and below are a some of my favourite images from the day. I hope that you like them, and please fell free to leave me or Gemma and Alex a comment at the end. Thanks for reading!
