The Cherwell Boathouse wedding photographer
I was looking forward to being The Cherwell Boathouse wedding photographer for the wedding of Ali and George, in what turned out to be a gorgeous spring sunny day. I love working at different venues and work with what they can offer to create memorable images. The day started with a few getting ready shots before heading to the church to capture guests arriving. It was a lovely service at the family church, with some lovely readings and a family friend playing the organ beautifully. After the ceremony and some confetti, the guests walked down to the Cherwell boathouse, the venue chosen by Ali and George for their big day. Ali had spent many years rowing and spent many years by the river in Oxford.
It was a lovely afternoon, with lovely weather and lots of drinks and canapés while the guests enjoyed each others company. The meal was then served in the upstairs room where subsequently the speeches took place. It included a lovely slideshow by Ali’s father. After, it was time for the guests to join the newly married couple downstairs for the first dance to a live band and the evening party.
I love capturing weddings that are relaxed, filled with joy and happiness and so was Ali and George’s wedding. It was clear for everyone to see how much they care for each other and how much their friends and family cared for them.
