Cogges Farm Wedding Photographer
I was very much looking forward to the wedding of Emma and Kevin and being a Cogges Farm wedding photographer for the day. Their wedding was set in Oxfordshire and it started at Emma’s parents house. The sun was out for the day and everyone was in good spirits, relaxed but yet with a touch of anticipation and nervousness in the air. I always enjoy capturing a few shots of the getting ready part of the day. There are some nice touches, including the bride wearing the same garter that her mum had worn at her own wedding.
The ceremony took place at St. Mary’s church in Iffley before proceeding to Cogges farm for the drinks reception, meal and evening dancing. Cogges farm is a beautiful venue, a working farm with the ability for families to visit and feed the animals, so if you are in the area make sure that you visit it, it is pretty and friendly. The sun stayed out and guests were able to enjoy drinks and canapés outdoors before heading into the barn for the wedding breakfast. I took the opportunity just before the bride and groom were announced in, to take a few portraits of the two of them. After the meal, came the speeches which were all sincere, heartfelt and funny and had the guests entertained. I certainly enjoy listening to speeches, I often reflect on my own experiences through them as I am capturing the tears, the laughter and the joy.
Before the first dance, guests enjoyed a few more moments outdoors before watching the bride and groom having their first dance and then joining them on the dance floor. It was a beautiful day, relaxed and family orientated, which is the way I like to document weddings, with minimal intervention from my side, just capturing the day as it unfolds.
Below is a short selection of some of my favourite images from their day, I hope that you enjoy them and please feel free to leave me a comment at the end of this blog post, I would love to hear from you. If you are looking for a Cogges farm wedding photographer, I would love to hear from you!
