I love the variety of people, events and venues that I get the opportunity to photograph as a wedding photographer. I was thrilled when Liz and Selina commissioned me to document their wedding day at Pembroke Lodge, a venue that I had yet to work at. They both understand photography and I was really grateful for the feedback on my work and the very pleasant conversations and e-mail exchanges we had prior to their wedding day.
It was a fantastic wedding day! Period! Lovely venue, lovely weather, guests dressed up smartly (and some nice hats too) but more importantly two lovely, beautiful and happy brides! The day started for me at the ceremony where guests where enjoying a few drinks before an emotional ceremony, with two beautiful readings. One of the key elements for me on the day was to work in a reportage style, including only a few portraits and group shots. It was beautiful to see the love of family and friends and the joy in celebrating their marriage. After a lovely meal and beautiful speech, the guests had more time to enjoy the beautiful terrace of the “Il Belvedere” before filling the dance floor and partying away.
I really enjoyed documenting Liz and Selina’s wedding day, a lovely couple, extremely attentive and a joy to work with. I really wish you all the best in your married life and I hope that you enjoy your images!
