Wedding Photography in Windsor – A pre-wedding shoot with Zoe and Mark
I will be documenting Zoe and Mark’s wedding later on this year and it was a pleasure to meet them on a brisk and sunny Saturday morning in Windsor only a couple of weeks ago. Windsor is looking great despite the recent floods and I like the variety of places that Windsor has to offer, from the Castle area with the cobblestone streets, to the shop area that provides a more gritty background for shots.
My style is predominantly reportage and by definition some will argue that pre-wedding or engagement shoots are not really reportage. I can certainly see this point, however my personal belief is that a relaxed portrait session find its place in a reportage wedding coverage alongside candid images. I aim to keep my portrait shots during the wedding day and when commissioned for engagement and pre-wedding shoots as informal and relaxed as possible, trying to interact with the couple and making it a fun session rather than one full of stiff poses. I will normally look for decent light and background and if needed very lightly pose the couple.
This session with Zoe and Mark was really nice and fun and it was probably one of the only recent days when the sun had been out which made it even better to be out and about. I am already looking forward to their wedding day in September as I am sure that it will be relaxed and full of lovely moments.
