The Great House wedding photographer

The Great House wedding photographer – Sonning – Berkshire

Katharine and Daniel’s wedding was going to be a very local affair for me. The were getting at a venue that is very near me. I was looking forward to being the Great House wedding photographer for their special day. They were having a religious ceremony at St Michael’s Church in Warfield. I was clear to see to me from the beginning, that the ceremony was very important to them. They had a strong faith and the priest celebrating was a family friend. My day started documenting the getting ready phase at Katharine’s parent’s house.

The morning was a bit rainy but everyone was in great spirits. The house was full of movement with many people getting ready. I really enjoy busy environments! After an hour or so, I left for the church to meet Dan and capture a few images of him greeting their wedding guests. The bride arrived on time and was greeted by an army of umbrellas to make sure that she stayed dry. I love shots with umbrellas. The ceremony was beautiful. There was an energy during the service because both the bride and groom families and friends seem to to church goers. They knew the songs and there was a great ambience during the service. This was also helped by the musicians being friends and family.

After the ceremony, the bride and groom stayed for a few minutes at the church before heading to the reception

A lovely wintery afternoon

Even though the wedding was in November, and therefore autumn, the day felt wintery for sure. It was great to have the fire in tipi for guests to warm up. The reception was lovely, people wandering around the venue and exploring. After the reception, the wedding breakfast was served. It was then followed by the speeches. They were all very good and very unique to the couple which is what I love to hear. With so many weddings documented, sometimes I hear similar lines. Here, you could tell that a lot of effort had gone to create unique content for the bride and groom.

After the speeches, there was a gap for guests to relax before the party started. And it was a good party! I stayed for the evening in this occasion to capture a few shots of the guests dancing and then the sparkler exit.

Below are some of my favourite images from their wedding day! I really hope that you like them! It was a great pleasure to document the wedding of Katharine and Daniel, two genuine and lovely people! If you are looking for the Great House wedding photographer for your wedding day (or any other venue for that matter), I would love to hear from you!
