Jephson Gardens is a lovely wedding venue situated in the middle of Leamington Spa. It is a beautiful venue with lots of greenery, both inside and outside. The glass walls and roofs make it very bright and airy which is great. This was the venue chosen by Laura and Max for their wedding day. I started the day documenting the bride getting ready at her mother’s house. It was a relaxed morning and I got there in time to catch a few getting ready images before heading to the venue. The mood at both places was very relaxed. The weather was nice with some sunshine coming through on occasions. Certainly one of the better days we’ve had this spring.
The ceremony was beautiful, not too long and with a couple of readings. One of them was Joey’s (from Friends) speech around loving and sharing and caring, which made everyone smile, in particular the Friends series fans! After the ceremony, the drinks reception ensued. The indoor space at Jephson Gardens is great. We wee blessed wth good weather but still a bit chilly outside so the light and trees inside made it feel as we were outdoors.
A lovely early spring afternoon
The speeches preceded the wedding meal. This is something that I am seeing more often of these days. It does make sense, as that way the speakers can enjoy their meal without worrying about the speeches. This is one of my favourite moments of the wedding day, as I get to know and learn a bit more about the bride and groom. After the meal, there was some down time before the first dance. It all went down well and guests enjoyed dancing to a live band.
