Southend Barns Wedding Photographer
The wedding of Lisa and Paul had it all! A lovely couple, a gorgeous venue, a relaxed environment, lots of fun and laughter and fantastic weather. I felt great being a Southend Barns wedding photographer on that day and capturing a really wonderful wedding.
From the moment I arrived at Southend Barns and I met the bride and her bridesmaids, I could tell that it was going to be a great day. Everyone was in great spirits, getting ready leisurely with no signs of stress or rush, guests were gently arriving and congregating at the front of the venue ready for the ceremony. Everyone was genuinely friendly and easy going. It was obvious how much they cared for Lisa and Paul. The day had been planned to be relaxed. The ceremony was lovely, yet very short and whilst they were a few traditions that were observed, it was mainly set out for guests to have plenty of time to relax int he beautiful surroundings of the venue. The sun was out and it was warm but not too hot and guest spent most of the afternoon basking in the sunshine apart from dinner and speeches time.
We took a few minutes throughout the day to take a few portraits of Lisa and Paul and it was also done in a relaxed manner and fairly swiftly. I am a great believer that portraits do not need to take too long and by having 2-3 short sessions rather than one longer one, it provides with different lighting conditions but also it does not feel cumbersome for the couple or their guests.
Below is a slideshow that showcases their wedding day, one of my favourites from 2016. I really hope that you enjoy watching it and that you let me know in the comments section what you thought of it. Hi Alexis!
These are absolutely amazing!  You’ve created exactly the kind of images we wanted, even better than we could’ve hoped! They have completely confirmed why we chose you to photograph our day.
We can’t thank you enough, we’ve had so many comments about how great you were on the day, not stealing us away for hours to do portraits, never forcing people to pose, just capturing real, natural images. Your eye for a great picture is amazing.Thank you again so much! Â Lisa & Paul
Here are a few selected images, many more on the slideshow above.
