I was really looking forward to the wedding of Annie and Jon. I remembered them as a lovely and relaxed couple from when they came to visit me a few months back. They were as relaxed on their wedding day, taking everything in and really just enjoying their friends and family. Everybody was in great spirits and this may have been the wedding where I have seen the most hugs! I love capturing hugs and they were everywhere! It was beautiful to see how everyone was just so pleased for them.
The ceremony was truly beautiful. Annie and Jon had planned a ceremony full of readings, singing and blessings which made me at times slightly emotional. The power and energy of the singing in particular made me reflect also on my beliefs and family. I was really blessed to witness such a lovely ceremony.
The church was only a 10 minute drive away from the house where Annie grew up and that hosted the wedding reception. A relaxed drinks reception took place in the family garden before adjourning to the marquee erected in their paddock. The speeches took place before the meal and were meaningful, from the heart and hilarious too! It is lovely to hear the stories about couple’s childhood, how people met and in some instances hearing about some interesting rituals during their university years for example.
The first dance was a Ceilidh and the bride and groom as well as the bridal party were very experienced and it looked fantastic. The rest of the guests were invited then on the dance floor and taught the steps for the next dance. It was great fun to capture!
Below is a slideshow for some of my favourite images from their day and then further below a few images extracted from the slideshow. I really hope that you like this wedding. I would love to hear your comments at the end! If you are looking for a marquee wedding photographer in Berkshire, I would love to hear from you!
