Barrandov Opera Wedding Photographer

I was very much looking forward to being the Barrandov Opera wedding photographer for the wedding of M & L. It was my first time at the Barrandov Opera, a venue in Needham Market in Suffolk. As the name implies, it is a venue used for small and intimate Opera. It was a rainy day for the wedding of M & L but neither the bride and groom, or their guests, seemed phased by it. I arrived early enough to have a look around the venue and then capture a few shots of the bride getting ready. The groom and their family were there also early in the day. They were checking for the last few details and welcoming the guests as they arrived. Everyone seemed happy and relaxed and there was a nice calm flow to the morning.  In fact, if I remember correctly, the ceremony started bang on time or even a few minutes early.

The bride and groom were radiant and the ceremony was short but lovely. It is clear to see how happy they both looked and how pleased for them their friends and family were! The rain was relentless on the day and the drinks reception took place indoors. Luckily, the venue has a separate nice and spacious room that can be used exactly in these situations.

An afternoon to remember

The drinks reception is always a great opportunity for me to capture naturally people. Friends re-acquainting which each other, family members enjoying each others company and new people meeting for the first time. It is probably one of my favourite moments during the wedding day. I get to observe people. I enjoy capturing those little moments of real emotions. After the drinks reception, the guests were invited back into the main area of the venue for the wedding breakfast and speeches. It all run smoothly, with a lovely meal and guests enjoying each other’s company. After the meal followed some short speeches before guests had the opportunity to relax and stretch their legs before the first dance. We were able to grab a couple of portraits outside as the rain almost stopped for a few minutes. The first dance had some great lighting and it was fun to document.

Below are some of my favourite images from their wedding day, I really hope that you enjoy them. It was great for me to meet the bride and groom an their family and everyone was super friendly on the day, it was a joy t document their wedding day, If you are looking for a Barrandov Opera wedding photographer, or any other venue for that matter, I would love to hear from you.
