Asian wedding photography or Indian wedding photography is very popular in the UK. I have been blessed to be trusted by many couples over my career to document their wedding day and I really love capturing Asian weddings. There is so much colour, noise and moment going on, that I find it a visual fest for my eyes and to capture great images.
As an Asian wedding photographer in the UK, I have been able to work in a variety of locations. Very often, Hindu ceremonies will take place in a large Hotel with a variety of rooms for the ceremony, drinks and dancing. For Sikh weddings, the day often will start at both the bride and grooms house before going to the Gurdwara for the wedding ceremony and then moving to a venue for the reception and dancing. The atmosphere at asian weddings, I have always found to be relaxed and fun, with guests being happy to be together and enjoying the moment.
I am renown for my style of photography, which is fairly relaxed and discrete, focusing on real moments. This style is slightly different to more traditional wedding photography and couples that commission for their wedding are looking for a few nice portraits of the two of them and their families but want me to focus on the real moments of the day. I find this incredibly powerful and grateful that so many couples choose me to tell the story of their day in a natural way.
Below are some of my recent Asian weddings. Have a look!
