London is literally a gold mine for wedding photography. With excellent access, whether you are coming by plane, train or car, London is one the most sought out after county for weddings. It is not only the ease of access that makes it so attractive, but it is also its history, the hustle and bustle and the multitude of wedding venues that you will find here.
I am based in Berkshire near London. I can be there in 30 minutes and it is always a pleasure for me to visit the Big Smoke, whether it is for wedding photography commissions or whether it is for personal interest. You cannot help but feel the buzz and the energy that the city offers and there is always something going on!
London is very easy to access and offer a big variety of venues from very posh and elegant places and members clubs, to some beautiful gastro pubs and restaurants that will be fantastic for your wedding day. The only downside to London can be the difficult traffic at times and the scarcity of parking, but then the underground, taxis and uber make it very easy for you to get where you need to be.
There are so many great venues in London and it is very difficult to single out any of them. Here are a few that I have recently worked at. The Landsdowne club is a members club not too far from Hyde park. It is very elegant and ideal for a posh wedding, a black tie event. Clissold House is based in Stoke Newington and within walking distance of the registry office. It is a beautiful venue with a magnificent staircase. It is ideal for intimate weddings incredibly cosy. The Rosendale is a beautiful gastro pub based in the South west of London and it is a favourite for relaxed weddings. The venue offers separate rooms for your wedding and the food is delicious. The Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn is just breath taking and the location chosen for many period films and dramas. The Guildhall London based in the city of London is simply stunning, with great architecture and impressive rooms in the cloisters area.
Alexis is a renowned wedding photographer based near reading and recently voted by ZankYou Magazine as one of the top 15 wedding photographers in London. Alexis work is very distinctive as he focuses on capturing real moments. Of course, Alexis will undertake a few lovely portraits of the two of you and a few family photos if requested, but Alexis excels in capturing strong images for you to cherish over years to come. All captured naturally, in a discreet manner.
