A Barn wedding at Wasing Park

Berkshire Wedding Photography

It was a lovely day for the wedding of Gemma and Jack at Wasing Park. Wasing Park is a barn wedding venue in Berkshire, between Newbury and Reading. It is a fairly local venue to me and I have worked there on a few occasions. Wasing Park offers a lot of options for any wedding, all packed in a  small area. There is on-site accommodation for guests, a church, the Barn, the Garden room and also an area for outdoor ceremonies. This is perhaps why Wasing Park seems to be a very popular venue with brides and grooms!

A relaxed and fun wedding!

I arrived on time to capture some images of the bride getting ready, while the lovely Simon Atkins came to help me and capture a few shots of the groom getting ready. The morning was very relaxed with everyone in good spirits. I had a chat with with Gemma and Jack a few days prior and they were so relaxed and friendly. I knew that it was going to be a fab wedding and it was! The ceremony took place at the Church within Wasing Park’s grounds. It is a small and quaint church but warm and beautiful! Perfect for a nice wedding day surrounded by friends and family. After the ceremony, wed did a few formal family photos by the church before going to the garden room for drinks and canapés. A bit later on we went around the grounds at Wasing for a few portraits of the bride and groom.

A beautiful Barn for your reception

The rest of the day was mainly spent at the barn. The Barn at Wasing Park is fairly spacious and Gemma and Jack had done a great job in decorating with some nice drop down light bulbs from the ceiling. There were some delightful table decorations made by Gemma’s mum too! The afternoon/evening went smoothly with some lovely food followed by speeches. The speeches were fun, meaningful, light hearted and not too long, a perfect combination! After a break for coffee and cutting the cake, everybody joined the bride and groom for their first dance and some dancing. I left shortly after the first dance.

It was  a very nice day at Wasing and Gemma and Jack were great to work with. A fun and caring couple who made me feel very welcome and were a joy to work with. Below are a few of my favourite images from their wedding day! I hope that you really enjoy them and I would love to hear your comments from you below! If you found this post when looking for Wasing Park wedding photography or for any other venue for that matter, I would love to hear from you! Again, a big thank you to Simon Atkins for his help on the day and producing some beautiful images, some of which made this blog!
