Pigeon shot

view from my window

I arrived to photography by accident. I wanted to learn to take good pictures of the jewellery by sister produces for our website and whilst I may not say that "practice has made me perfect", far from it, I am capable to fairly represent my customers products.

Landscape and portrait are very different to jewellery photography and I am slowly learning and improving in these areas. It is amazing how we see things differently through the objective, but also how you start appreciating what you have around you.

I am practising with whatever I can see from my upstairs window and garden. I have been Magpie Photoable to notice magpies, robin red breasts, blue tits, pigeons and my beloved cats. I have also been able to notice more the fields in front of my house, the horses, the different kind of trees, the telecoms tower (ok this not so great but it is there...) and I am having a blast photographying them. I know use my own photos to addd to my websites pages, it saves me buying photos but also makes me proud. You may want to try it too, it is not necessary to have an expensive camera, most digital cameras will have landscape settings!

Have Fun!
